INTA Secretariat is looking for a communication manager

INTA is a global membership association where public and private policy-makers and urban practitioners come together to share knowledge, experience and performing tools for integrated urban development.
INTA is an unparalleled network bringing together the major actors in urban development: policymakers of national, regional and local government; business leaders in real estate development, construction, engineering, service provision, product development; preeminent thinkers and research institutes; influential architecture and urbanism firms, to jointly establish new parameters for sustainable and integrated development of urbanised areas.
The Association is run by the International Secretariat, which has recently moved to Paris. The Secretariat is led by the Secretary General and is looking for a Communication Manager.
The Communication Manager is responsible for liaising with INTA's membership and the general public under the authority of the Secretary General.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Designing communication plan that promotes and supports the goals and activities of the Association
- Producing and/or editing reports of activities (Congress, World Urban Development Council, Advisory Panels)
- Producing regular publications such as monthly newsletters, event leaflets, annual publications
- Developing and maintaining the relation with the members by informing them on activities and relevant information in relationship with the responsible per sectors within the INTA secretariat
- Developing and maintaining the website and the e-library (in co-operation with the web manager), and animating the social networks
- Supervising internal communication tools (databases), and creating new ones if needed
- Managing press relations
- Developing and managing advertising and communication campaigns
- Assisting in event co-ordination
Required skills & knowledge:
- Excellent written/spoken knowledge of English & French. Knowledge of other languages is an asset
- University degree in communication with strong interest on urban issues
- At least three years working experience in communication
- Good drafting skills of reports and information notes
- Solid analytical and conceptual skills and the ability to think creatively
- Knowledge of different design and printing methods, and of managing website (html, css, joomla)
Part time (3 days) at the beginning
